Description

Zippy Deck, Roller and Teeter Combo:

The Zippy is the original Vew-Do Balance Board. Still true to the traditional style, the Zippy is a versatile board that can provide beneficial balance training and fun for anyone in the family. Maintaining our signature 360 degree mobility, it provides greater stability using a roller designed with outriggers that act as a balance guide.

The Zippy features a non-toxic, anti-slip STS riding surface and a sustainable 100% North American maple deck. The roller has a 19 degree outrigger training system providing extra stability for the rider making it a perfect fit for beginners and intermediate riders alike.

Difference between the Zippy and the Flow:

Although the decks are shaped differently both the Flow and Zippy decks have the same overall running length of the iBeam rail system and are similar in performance. The overall size of the Zippy is larger and has higher tip/tail height than the Flow, but the most significant difference in performance is designed around the roller. The longer Zippy roller is machined with our patented outrigger design which act as "training wheels" when a rider applies toe or heel pressure to the board. The outriggers allow for increased stability when performing maneuvers requiring toe and heal pressure such as turning spinning and tilting. It's the outrigger design that makes the Zippy ideal for beginner to intermediate riders. Conversely the outrigger-less design of the Flow roller allows the rider to achieve greater toe and heel performance at higher angles thereby making the Flow more challenging and performance driven. The Flow is ideal for intermediate to advanced riders.

Specifications

The Zippy is a traditional style balance board addressing the balance training needs of the entire family. With its outrigger roller design, riders can experience reduced, toe to heal transitions thereby making The Zippy ideal for beginner to intermediate riders of all ages.

knee surgery patient
Love the balance board so far. I've been using it to rehab after knee surgery and it's been very helpful for building strength and balance. My 5 year old daughter and my wife are also enjoying using it for balance and fun. I think it would be a great learning tool for practicing snowboarding or skateboarding balance. Only complaint is that customer service was lacking. No one ever answered the phone or returned my emails, but the board was shipped within a week.

Great fun!
The kids and parents love this. It sits in front of the island in the kitchen and everyone balances while chatting in the kitchen. Easy to use and hopefully will help us on our skate and surfboards!

Mr.
Beautifully constructed and just as fun as I remember. In the early 2000s, we had one of these in our local snowboard shop. We'd play with Vew Dew boards on the sales floor while waiting on customers. Used to be a big hit. It was the obvious choice when I was looking for my kids now. Very, very impressed by the quality. For the parents out there, my kids almost immediately took to the roller and haven't really used the foam.

Questions and Answers

Q: You don't have the length sizes?

The Zippy is 30 inches long with an 8 inch waist and 8 3/4 inch nose/tail. Answer provided by:  Administrator (3/20/2016)
Q: Wondering what board to get my 4 year old son. WE were in a store that had them and he gravitated towards the El Dorado board, and was actually doing pretty well on it. I do not want to get him that board because I don't feel it is age/ SIZE appropriate. Would you recommend the Zippy or the Flow for him? If I start with the zippy can I change out the roller later?
Asked by: Adri - 12/1/2016
A: All our boards are easy to ride if you are just going back and forth. It's when he starts to get a little better, going over the toes trying to turn the board, that the El Dorado becomes increasingly more difficult and not the correct board for him. For a kid his age I would look at the Zippy (you can watch a product video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTwUkpsGCcM) and also pick up a Foam Teeter (in the options section) as an add on.

The Foam Teeter will give him something simple to just play on and help build his confidence while working on balance. When he's ready he can jump on the Zippy Roller, with it's outriggers and wider riding surface, it will give him more room to learn on for years to come while taking him to that next level on a more stable platform.

Also, yes all our boards work with all our rollers. You can always upgrade the roller at a later date if you wish. Answer provided by:  Keith (12/2/2016)
Q: Does the Zippy come with both the roller and teeter, and if so is there a standard roller that comes with it? I am trying to understand why there is an optional roller that is suggested to buy.
Asked by: Katie - 12/10/2020
A: Yes the Zippy comes with the Zippy Roller and the Foam Teeter. It comes standard with the Zippy Roller. There are rollers listed in the suggested accessories because all rollers are compatible with all boards. Each roller has it's own characteristics for different kinds of balance movement. Q: Dear Sirs, I'm snowboarding since 3 seasons, but never used any balance board before. Which balance would be suitable for me for home balance training, Zippy or Flow? Best regards and Happy New Year, Sebastian
Asked by: Sebastian - 1/2/2021
A: Great question! Both boards are great options, but the Zippy would be the best option since you have not used a balance board before. It comes with better introductory options like the foam teeter and the roller is equipped with outriggers to introduce toe-to-heel balance. Once you become proficient with your balance board you can purchase the Flow Roller for more advanced toe-to-heel balance, this roller is also compatible with the Zippy board.
