  • Intermediate Balance Boards
  • Fits all Molded Rail End and Stop System Vew-Do Boards

The Zippy Roller is an intermediate step. With a special outrigger design, the Zippy is perfect for learning to ride the angles with a bit of a helping hand.

  • A reduced overall diameter making it lower to the ground.
  • A wider primary riding surface allowing for increased contact with the riding surface and deck.
  • A reduced degree of taper allowing for decreased angulation.
  • An increased overall length thereby decreasing maneuverability.
  • The primary difference of the Zippy roller design lies in the OUTRIGGERS. Often refereed to as "The Knobs". These outriggers are designed to act similarly to training wheels on a bicycle. When toe or heal pressure is applied, these outriggers provide a point of reference for the rider as the roller tips up on end creating awareness for the degree of taper and angulation under foot.

Contact Us worked great!
I had set aside my older vew-do balance board (Vortex) that was in really good condition except the roller had cracked with age and use. I liked it so much I didn't want to throw it out but wasn't sure what I would do with it. It kept my knees and lower legs fit and helped with balance on quick turns for my sport. One day I was browsing online and an ad for a new vew-do board popped up. I didn't know the company still existed! I browsed the site and sent email contact. I wasn't sure if the individual rollers would fit my older board or not. I A new board would've been awesome but I had limited funds. Kevin responded promptly to my questions and I decided on the Zippy roller for a little more challenge. The new zippy roller fits the rail on my old board and it glides so smoothly. I think its a little faster but that could be me still getting adjusted to it since I hadn't used the board in a long time and also had ankle surgery.

I purchased this along with the flow board and flow roller - thinking it would be a bit more of a challenge once we got used to the flow roller. We are skiers and have ridden vew-do boards in the past - so we werent new to balance boards. We found that the flow rocker was fun and challenging but he zippy added another level to our ride - and we prefer to use zippy.

I am a newbie so I thought a zippy rock would be the right starting point for me with my board. It has been great! It has given me the "training wheels" I need to start to explore what I can do on my balance board. I am also impressed by the craftsmanship of Vew-Do products. These are wonderfully hand crafted and clearly made with expertise.

Not an athlete
I bought an individual Zippy rock along with the Flow board so I could start off with a beginner-friendly set-up, and I've been using it for about a week now. My first time on the board was terrifying. I didn't fall, but I was heavily relying on a couple high backed chairs (holding the backs, at chest height) to remain stable. Still, just the little bit of movement and balance I managed was fun. Since then I've been playing around on the Flow board/Zippy rock for a few minutes each day, and I'm amazed at how quickly a non-athletic beginner can pick this up. I don't need to have anything nearby to help me balance anymore. I'm still mostly just going side to side, but I find myself using more front-to-back motion. I can make turns pretty easily. I can watch TV while doing an easy side-to-side (and some minor turns to readjust) on the Flow/Zippy and actually follow the plot. It's just coming naturally now and no longer requires 100% of my concentration. If you're a complete beginner and not sure where to start, I highly recommend the Pickle Nub board and this Zippy rock with either the Flow or its own Zippy board. Don't worry that you won't be able to use them - just about anyone can learn to use these. Take it as slow as you need to - the improvements come quickly!
