| Balance training is often used to rehabilitate a variety of ankle, knee, hip and spine injuries. A comprehensive rehabilitation program must not overlook the component of neuromuscular control that is necessary for joint stability. The repair of static or dynamic restraints and the strengthening of the appropriate muscles does not prepare a joint for sudden changes in position that it is exposed to in the athletic arena. Using Vew-Do Balance Boards addresses this area effectively with balance and stability exercises for the body core, and other joints of the body. Exercises aimed at balance, agility and stability help muscles fire in the proper sequence in order to provide dynamic joint stability. The rehabilitation program includes functional exercises that incorporate balance and proprioceptive training to prepare the individual for return to activity. Simulation of sport specific activities in rehabilitation, from the very basic to the multidirectional complex skill, is important for not only building confidence in the athlete, but it assist the clinician in determining an athlete's status at any time and helps in the decision making process regarding the athlete's return to play. |

| Core stability and strong musculature surrounding joints are thought to assist in body deceleration, body control, and muscle reaction times. Using the Vew-Do Balance Board as part of a regular training program is one of the best and most cost effective ways to assist the athlete in all of these areas. |
